Roro Parola Sea View Restaurant in Cordova, Cebu: a quiet, dazzling sea view dining spot with garden seating, honest food review, prices, and tips on the best time to visit.
Tucked at the tip of Roro, this sea view restaurant is one of those rare finds where the setting does half the work for you. The place is dazzling, and once night falls, it settles into a kind of serenity you don't often get in Cordova. Aside from the murmur of other diners, it's completely quiet, no passing traffic, no road noise bleeding into your conversation. That alone sets it apart from a lot of restaurants around here that sit right along the road and never quite escape the hum of vehicles.
That said, the serenity comes with a caveat. The garden area, which is arguably the best spot to sit and take in the view, is open air. There's no roofing, only umbrellas scattered around for cover. If it rains, that whole section becomes unusable, so it's worth checking the weather before you head out, especially if the garden seating is what you're after.
As for the food, it leans a bit on the expensive side, but it earns that price through the view alone, and the taste holds up too. A good spread for three people runs around 700 PHP, which is reasonable for what you get. We also tried a bigger dish priced at around 1,450 PHP, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were distinct, well put together, and honestly delicious. Whoever's in the kitchen clearly knows what they're doing.
The one thing worth flagging is portioning. The servings felt a bit disproportionate, with noticeably more rice than the actual viands on the plate, and unlike some places, there's no option to ask for extra viand to balance it out. It's a small gripe next to everything else the place gets right, but if you're not much of a rice person, go in aware of that.
Overall, Roro Parola Sea View Restaurant is worth the visit for the atmosphere alone, just plan around the weather if you want those garden seats.
